Part 3 - Time to Meet Mother.
Welcome to our first Sims 4 story! I may be a little rusty (especially since I started writing this in 2019!) so apologies for that, but I hope you enjoy :)
Now, if you have not yet played the Strangerville Story be warned, this story is a SPOILER!
So if you don't want to know what happens go back, do not enter here, this is not the path.
So, on with the story...
So? Found anything?
Adriana: Lots of corridors.
Oh.
Adriana: And more doors.
Can you open them?
Adriana: Yep, this card seems to work on all of them. Must have been some high level scientist dude that owned this one.
Adriana: More stairs, how deep is this place?
Why did you stop?
Adriana: I think I'm lost. It's like a maze, nothing but corridors, stairs and empty rooms.
You got this far don't give up now. Look, another room!
Adriana: *sigh* Fine.
Adriana: Ooh, hello. What do we have here?
What is all that stuff?
Adriana: Looks like they were experimenting on those bizarre plants. There is a strange growth coming from that corridor over there, I should check it out.
Adriana: Wow, there is tonnes of it growing down here. Looks like it is coming from that door.
It's getting late, maybe we should head off now?
Adriana: What happened to exciting, lets explore the lab?
That was when I thought it was empty.
Adriana: *takes deep breath* Well, I'm going in!
Now are you sure you are not feeling just a little hungry? Want to go get some dinner? Maybe come back tomorrow or, say, never?
Adriana: *rolls eyes* Come on, let's check out what this town has been hiding.
Ooh, I don't like the look of that!
Adriana: It's just a big plant, I'm taking a closer look.
I think it is taking a closer look at you!
Strange Plant: I Am Mother. Join Me And I Shall Reward You.
Adriana: So you are the one causing all the trouble. I'm going to stop your evil ways!
Urm, Adriana? I don't think you should be talking to her like that!
The Mother plant let out a screech and swiped out at Adriana with her long tendrils. All that training had come in handy and Adriana was able to duck and roll, narrowly missing the Mother's attack.
Adriana: Ok, now we RUN!
Sprinting into the next room Adriana stopped for breath.
What were you thinking?!
Adriana: I got caught up in the moment.
You nearly got caught up in her digestive juices!
It's not looking good out there, I think you made her mad. We had better get out of here sharpish.
Wait. What are you doing?! Angry Mother plant alert!
Adriana: I need to collect more ingredients for the vaccine.
Now?!
It's getting really crazy out here, maybe let her calm down a bit?
Adriana: Just a few more then I'm done.
Adriana: You ready then?
Ready?! I've been trying to get you out of there for hours!
Adriana: Gosh you are so dramatic.
Adriana: Ugh, again with the toilet! I'll be glad when I'm finally rid of that overgrown dandelion and I can pee in peace!
It seems to be getting worse out there. Looks like most of the town is infected.
Adriana: Then I need to hurry. To the lab!
Do you know what you are doing?
Adriana: Not a clue. Just trying different combinations and then we will see which one works.
Isn't that dangerous?
Adriana: Well, it can't make them worse can it?
Hopefully not.
I thought you were testing the vaccine?
Adriana: Hungry. Snacks.
Adriana: Ok, here goes nothing!
Adriana: Dammit! Now she is infected and dirty!
Adriana: Right, lets try batch number two.
Well at least he is getting a good rest?
Adriana: *sigh*
Third time lucky, I believe in you!
Adriana: I hope this works.
Soldier: What? What happened? Why am I in the trailer park? Who are you?
Adriana: *does happy dance* YES!
Soldier: Are you okay? You are acting a bit weird.
Adriana: Ah, yes, urm, just got some good news. Sorry got to run, bye now.
Adriana heads back to the lab and quickly retrieves the required ingredients.
Adriana: Success! Now to find me an army!
Good luck with that.
Adriana: So, guys. I'm looking for some people to help me with a small task.
Trevor: I'm in!
Adriana: Oh. Well thanks but I haven't told you what it is yet, are you sure?
Trevor: Whatever you need I'm there.
Still keen huh?
Adriana: So we are going into the secret lab to destroy the Mother plant. It's risky but I think if we stick together we can do this.
Trevor: *looks suddenly pale and starts playing with his collar*
Sarah: Uh, sure.
Adriana: Great, meet me there in 4 hours. I just need to find Mandy to help us out.
Adriana: So how's the punch treating you Mandy?
Mandy: It's great! Thanks for inviting me out.
Adriana: No problem at all. I just need to ask you a favour.
Mandy: Anything!
Adriana: Great, finish your juice and we'll head off.
Mandy: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING! ARE YOU CRAZY!
Adriana: Calm down. You did say anything.
Mandy: I'm outta here. Don't call me, don't text me, don't anything!
Mandy makes a swift hysterical exit from the lab.
So, one down what are you going to do?
Adriana: Two down Sarah bailed. She apparently forgot she had a 'thing'.
Oh.
Adriana: I have some vaccine left, let me see if Old George is up for a fight.
Adriana: So, not much time, but you want to come defeat the Mother with me? I've had 2 people bail and I wouldn't normally bother you with such a thing but..
Old George: Think nothing of it my dear lass. Old George is always ready to plunge his best foot forward into the unknown.
Adriana: Thank you so much! I just need to find a third person, I'll meet you at the lab. Victor is there waiting.
Old George: Poppycock! We need to get to the job in hand! My grandson here will fill the spot, wont you lad?
As Adriana looked over to the young man she noticed a wearied expression that told the tale of many years of being dragged into his Grandfather's crazy adventures.
Grandson: *sighs* Sure Pops.
Old George: Excellent! Shall we oft then? Tally Ho!
It was a long hard fight. Mother had called the infected to distract the four brave fighters as they struggled to overcome her powerful advances.
Adriana: You've got this guys! Keep focus on The Mother, don't let them distract you!
But finally Adriana and her unlikely band of fighters won the battle.
Adriana: Well done, we beat her!
Urm, Trevor doesn't look so well.
Adriana: He's fine. I'm sure. Probably.
Trevor was fine and after a few days of rest was back at work like nothing had happened.
Adriana: So Sarah, how was your thing?
Sarah: Oh, the thing, yeah. Um it was great, yeah.
Yeah right.
So with the town saved Adriana could continue safe in the knowledge that as long as she had it's heart The Mother would not be a threat.
So Adriana, how does it feel being a hero? What great adventure do you think you will find next?
Adriana: Oh, I don't know. I just did what needed to be done I don't know if that makes me a hero. As for adventure, I did see a rather dashing young man has recently moved to the neighbourhood. Maybe a bit of romance is all the excitement I need.
What? Not Trevor?
Adriana: *scowls* No, not Trevor.
